From road dust control to landfill bio-mining, from mechanised sweeping to misting and plantation — work is happening 24×7,” he said.Outlining the actions taken between Saturday and Sunday — the AQI had risen to 199 and was on the cusp of hitting the ‘poor’ mark — Sirsa said the government’s winter action plan had started to show results. In a statement, the government pointed to actions such as mechanical sweeping of 6,414 km of roads, 1,247 km of the road network sprinkled with 605 kilolitre of water and 12,068 challans issued for pollution checks, among others. “We are ready for winter with a strong enforcement and monitoring system. Every ward is being tracked, anti-smog guns are operational at construction sites, and landfill bio-mining teams are working in full swing,” Sirsa said.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Delhi Pollution
