It is illegal to intrude upon a private meeting in an adjudicator’s office!” He grinned widely. “There! You need a ‘proper reason’ to arrest him!? What more could you possibly want!?”Freddy hesitated for a moment at the man’s words, but then, the adjudicator shrugged and took another sip of his drink. “Indeed, it is highly illegal to intrude upon a private meeting in an adjudicator’s quarters.” The man’s face lit up with joy, but then the adjudicator continued, “However, this isn’t an adjudicator’s office. This is a temporary office I hold as the overseer of the defense force. As one of the most important members of the defense force, not to mention as the de facto owner of this entire tower, Mr. Stern has free access to this room.”The wounded man stepped back.
