(Express photo by Amit Mehra)The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday arrested a doctor from Jammu & Kashmir for allegedly harbouring and providing logistical support to Umar Nabi, the doctor who drove the car that exploded outside the Red Fort Metro station in Delhi on November 10.“The arrested man has been identified as Bilal Naseer Malla, a native of Baramulla and NIA has found that he had knowingly harboured Nabi by providing him logistical support. He is also accused of destruction of evidence related to the terrorist attack,” a NIA spokesperson said in a statement.According to the NIA, Bilal is the eighth accused to be arrested in the case. “The anti-terror agency is working closely with various central and state agencies to unravel all the threads of the conspiracy,” the spokesperson added.On Tuesday, Bilal was produced in Delhi before a designated court of Principal District and Sessions Judge Anju Bajaj Chandna, who remanded him to NIA custody for seven days.The court also extended the NIA custody of Amir Rashid Ali, another accused in the case, who was produced alongside Bilal, by seven days.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Red Fort attackRed Fort Blast
