Since Stranger Things arrived in 2016, there’s been no shortage of experiences inspired by the hit Netflix series. From immersive walkthroughs in major cities to the West End/Broadway stage production, The First Shadow, and various appearances at Universal Studios’ annual Halloween Horror Nights, the franchise is no stranger to inviting fans into the world of Hawkins and the Upside Down beyond the screen.Credit: NetflixThere are also smaller reimaginings: tabletop games, mobile games, and virtual reality experiences. This is all hardly surprising, though, seeing as the show became a global pop-culture phenomenon almost overnight, spawning new seasons and an entire multimedia franchise that includes all those immersive experiences, as well as a comic book series under Dark Horse and several tie-in novels focused on individual characters. Now, with Stranger Things Season 5 finally available on Netflix following a long wait, attention is clearly shifting back onto this massive franchise from all corners. While the fifth season is the last, the Upside Down’s reach continues to go far beyond the flagship series.A New Stranger Things Experience Has ArrivedIf you thought all those other experiences were immersive, “Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024” has just revealed an official Stranger Things add-on.
