IndiGo, which operated about 2,300 flights per day till the crisis struck, could be directed to reduce 300 flights per day for the winter schedule, said people aware of the developments. The winter season runs from the last Sunday of every October till the last Sunday of March. The Centre has, meanwhile, asked Air India and other airlines to add flights and cater to the demand spill that will follow IndiGo’s reduction.
