Minnesota disability services licensing is coming under increased scrutiny, and the Department of Human Services has paused the program as new findings of fraud come to light. The Department is reportedly issuing a two-year ban on new licenses for providers with a moratorium on Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS).Services, most of which are funded by Minnesota’s Medicaid waiver programs, will be halted on January 1, until December 31, 2027.This comes after an explosion in applications for new licenses over the last five years. While the number of participants in these programs has only increased by roughly 25%, new license applications have risen by approximately 283%!Minnesota Governor Tim Walz claims that his state has acknowledged that the findings are “serious” and that “it needs to stop.”“It is stopping. People are continuing to go to prison,” he said. “I think the good news for Minnesotans to know: When that 90-day pause is over, and the third-party audits are done, we will have a better picture than we’ve ever had, which I think is really good.”More via Fox:!function(r,u,m,b,l,e){r._Rumble=b,r[b]||(r[b]=function(){(r[b]._=r[b]._||[]).push(arguments);if(r[b]._.length==1){l=u.createElement(m),e=u.getElementsByTagName(m)[0],l.async=1,l.src="https://rumble.com/embedJS/u2vbt6g"+(arguments[1].video?'.'+arguments[1].video:'')+"/?url="+encodeURIComponent(location.href)+"&args="+encodeURIComponent(JSON.stringify([].slice.apply(arguments))),e.parentNode.insertBefore(l,e)}})}(window, document, "script", "Rumble");Rumble("play", {"video":"v70jkxg","div":"rumble_v70jkxg"});Meanwhile, the Somali immigrant population is also taking advantage and defrauding American taxpayers through COVID funds to the tune of more than a billion dollars in Minnesota. As The Gateway Pundit reported, 70 members of the Somali community in Minnesota were involved in stealing $250 million in COVID funds that were intended to feed children. Millions of dollars were stolen from American taxpayers and sent overseas to Somalia, and 80% of the money has not been recovered.Seven defendants were tried in connection with the scheme on charges related to stealing more than $40 million in taxpayer funds, and five were found guilty. However, the FBI is still investigating an attempt by a Somali woman to bribe one of the jurors with $120,000 in cash. But the fraud goes deeper, with multiple schemes like this over the last five years.Per the New York Times, “Federal prosecutors say that 59 people have been convicted in those schemes so far, and that more than $1 billion in taxpayers’ money has been stolen in three plots they are investigating.”Walz responded to this scandal last week, claiming that his state is just “generous” and “prosperous,” which “attracts criminals” because it’s such a great place.MORE:WATCH: Retarded Gov.
