As soon as Shurandhar makers announced the date, fans knew that this would be a massive clash as Yash’s Toxic was also scheduled to release on the same date. Now, the makers of Toxic have confirmed that they would not be changing their release date as they released a new poster on Tuesday.ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW VIDEOEver since the success of KGF films, fans of Yash have been waiting desperately for his next film. Now, the makers have revealed a poster for the film, thus starting a 100-day countdown to the release of the film. The date in question is March 19, 2026, and it will now have to go head-to-head with Dhurandhar 2. It also has to be considered that Dhurandhar has already made Rs 137 crore in the country in just 5 days. The other reason why the crowd might only go to one of these films is that both seem to be of the same genre. The poster of Toxic shows Yash sitting in a bathtub, with his back towards the camera. The lighting is dark, and there is blood pouring out of the tub. A bloody, gory, and intense action film is an overwhelming experience for most, and two movies of the same type might be too much. So it remains to be seen if Dhurandhar and Toxic will lose audience because of each other. Actor Sudev Nair, who is a part of the film, addressed the same and told SCREEN that there has never been any problem between Yash and Geetu. He said, “There is absolutely no truth to it at all. It’s very evident that some jealous people are running this campaign. You should see how our set functions. It’s one of the best examples of collaborative work.”He added that the two are very apt at collaborating and added, “Besides being a big, massy star who understands that pulse very well, he’s also a very good actor. Combine that with Geetu’s sensibilities… He’s always taking input from her and vice versa. Both of their aims are only to get the best. There has never been any ego clash. If needed, she will correct him or let him know if something isn’t working and suggest alternatives.”Toxic has been directed by Geetu Mohandas, and the cast of the film includes Yash, Kiara Advani, Darrell D Silva, Nayanthara, Akshay Oberoi and Huma Qureshi. It releases on March 19, 2026.Click here to follow Screen Digital on YouTube and stay updated with the latest from the world of cinema.© IE Online Media Services Pvt Ltd
