The Samsung Health app for Galaxy phones offers a plethora of features to track your health, using the brand’s phones, smartwatches, and smart rings. The company consistently keeps adding new ones, such as more detailed summaries, and now, the tech giant is working on a feature for the app that can protect your hearing. The Samsung Health app for Android version 6.31.2.003 offers a new card called Noise (via Android Authority). This feature, which is hidden at the moment, can use the phone’s microphone to check noise levels around you and provide you with the readings. It also has an option called Advanced Measurement. If you turn on Advanced Measurement, it will use your smartwatch’s microphone to measure noise levels around you throughout the day, and if the noise level goes beyond a certain limit, it will notify you about it. Yes, it has an option to set noise levels. You can choose from 80 dB to 100 dB with 5dB increments. This feature can also monitor the sound produced by the phone, including apps, and if it goes beyond a certain limit (we assume that if you increase the sound over a certain limit), it will notify you about it. These features are hidden at the moment, and there’s no information about when Samsung will roll them out to the public. The post Samsung Health may soon help you protect your hearing appeared first on SamMobile.
