While the parks are always crowded, things start to kick up significantly come Thanksgiving. The month of December is incredibly busy, as Disney World features two separately-ticketed Christmas events, as well as a number of other festive treats for travelers to take part in.Each year, Walt Disney World Resort hosts Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at the Magic Kingdom. This year, the event runs from November 7 through December 21, during which time guests will be able to discover and explore a range of holiday-themed activities.Limited-time merchandise, food, and drinks are also offered, as are special character encounters.Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party also includes a parade and a nighttime fireworks show. However, New Year’s Eve is also one of Magic Kingdom’s most popular holidays for the park, with December 30 being the latest date to be completely sold out for Passholder reservations. December 25 and 31 were already gone, but now December 30 is unavailable to make reservations for as well. What this means is that Passholders can no longer reserve Magic Kingdom as their starting park on that date. If Magic Kingdom becomes available later in the day, Passholders will be able to park hop.Credit: DisneyRelated: Disney Removes Castle Fireworks From Park Lineup, Officials ConfirmThere’s a lot happening at the Magic Kingdom, with the park undergoing one of its biggest transformations ever. It all began earlier this year when the Rivers of America, along with Tom Sawyer Island and Liberty Square River Boat, closed permanently. These three experiences had been a part of the park since it opened in 1971, but were demolished to make way for Magic Kingdom’s new area, Piston Peak. Inspired by Pixar’s Cars franchise, as well as real-world national parks, Piston Peak will be a heavily themed and attraction-rich new area to explore for Magic Kingdom. The park also recently welcomed The Beak and Barrel, a new Pirates of the Caribbean-themed bar.Looking ahead into the more distant future, Magic Kingdom will also eventually be home to a new Villains Land (pictured above). This was announced during Disney’s D23 event in 2024, sending a shockwave through the community.Other smaller updates include renovations to classic attractions like Carousel of Progress, Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Will you be visiting Magic Kingdom this holiday season? The post Disney’s Magic Kingdom Now Full, All New Reservations Blocked appeared first on Inside the Magic.
