(File photo)With Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) initiating works on the Bhandup Water Treatment Plant, a 15 per cent water cut was enforced across half of Mumbai (17 of the city’s 24 wards) from Monday morning. A 15 percent water cut will remain in place across 17 wards of the city until Tuesday morning.According to officials, the BMC is set to kick off works on replacing the 2750-mm diameter water channel from Tansa, that supplies water from Tansa dam, to the water treatment plant in Bhandup.
