Lava fountains from Kilauea were visible from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, the USGS said.The USGS termed the recent eruption as Episode 38 in the series of eruptions that have been taking place in Kilauea volcano since December last year. The volcanic eruption episode, which started on Saturday, ended abruptly after about 12hours of continuous activity.The USGS stated that volcanic eruption ended around 9pm HST on Saturday after “sustained fountains and eruptive activity”. The USGS added, “Moderate glow was observed in the flow field and from cracks near the north vent overnight.
