President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni on Monday afternoon pledged accelerated infrastructure development and job-creation initiatives as he addressed his second rally of the day in Kyegegwa District.In a message shared after the rally, President Museveni said government had already engaged a contractor to work on the long-awaited Kazo–Mpara–Kyegegwa–Hapuyo road, promising that construction would move swiftly to address community concerns about the state of the route.The President also announced plans to expand health services in the district, revealing that government will construct Health Centre IIIs in Kyatega, Hapuyo, Kakabara and Mpara to improve access to primary healthcare.Museveni further told residents that government has secured 10 square miles in Kyaka to host a major industrial park and a large avocado farm, which he said will boost value addition and create jobs for young people in the region.The President reiterated his long-standing message on wealth creation, emphasising that sustainable employment comes from productive sectors rather than government offices.“Jobs do not come from government; they come from commercial agriculture, factories, ICT and services,” he said.Museveni highlighted ongoing government interventions, including factory commissions, the Emyooga programme to support enterprises in the services sector, and a planned fund for unemployed graduates.He added that the forthcoming industrial park in Kyaka would further expand opportunities for agro-industrialisation and manufacturing in the region.The Kyegegwa rally is part of the President’s broader tour focused on economic transformation, infrastructure development and mobilising support ahead of the 2026 general elections.The post Museveni Pledges Road Upgrades, New Health Centres And Industrial Park At Kyegegwa Rally appeared first on The Insider.
