Pune city is a popular city in India known as the Pensioners Paradise and is also a very popular Educational hub.In Pune we have F.T.I.I( Film and Television Institute of India) and N.F.A.I ( National Film Archive of India ) and it is the Pune only where Prabhat Film Company was established which was within the premises of F.T.I.I.At one point of time Pune was the third city in India having the maximum number of Movie Theatres.I am from Pune and Pune is my home city. An Engineer by profession and an ardent Urban sketcher when I am not working. I am also an active member of Urban Sketchers Pune.I have seen the city evolved and grow over the years. With the passage of time and modernization we have witnessed Multiplexes ( Cinema Halls with more than two or three screens) sprung up and the Iconic and Heritage Single Screen Movie Theatres being demolished.Being a regular Movie buff since my childhood I have seen many Movies in these Single Screen Movie Theatres.I thought I should revisit the Single Screen Movie Theatres and Sketch them so as to document them before they pave way to the Multiplexes .All these Single Screen Theatres are attractive and have their own unique look and style. So I revisited them and Sketched the same on location. It was a great experience capturing its beauty. I have a special liking towards them as they always revise my old memories and I get nostalgic.I have used Black Drawing Pen and Watercolors to bring life to my Sketches.Mandar VaidyaPuneInstagram/Facebook/Threads/Twitter: @mandarsvaidyaAuthorMandar VaidyaArtist's Websitehttp://Instagram/Facebook/Twitter/Threads%20@mandarsvaidyaThe post Exploring the Single Screen Theatres( Cinema Halls) in Pune City, India appeared first on Urban Sketchers.
