UPDATE: Disney World Revokes Exclusivity of Christmas Party Offerings

Wait 5 sec.

In just 12 days, Magic Kingdom Park will bring one of the most popular Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party offerings to daytime guests. According to Walt Disney World Resort’s official entertainment schedule, the park is continuing its annual tradition of offering Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade during the day at one of the busiest times of the year.Typically, after-hours party offerings are exclusive to ticket holders of the event. For example, daytime Magic Kingdom Park guests will never see Mickey’s Boo-To-You Halloween Parade or the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular; the only way to catch these exclusive spooky season offerings is with a ticket to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. At Disney’s Hollywood Studios, offerings like Disney Holidays in Hollywood and “What’s This? Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Sing-Along” are exclusive to Disney Jollywood Nights events.Credit: Jeremy Thompson, FlickrMickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has long been the one exception to this rule. During the week between Christmas and New Year’s, after the final after-hours event at Magic Kingdom Park, Walt Disney World Resort has offered party-exclusive entertainment to regular Disney Park guests. Considering that this is perhaps the busiest week of the year at the Central Florida Disney parks (Disney Park Pass reservations are already sold out for several days), the additional entertainment is very needed to absorb the crowds. This month, Walt Disney World Resort released the full daytime performance schedule for Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. The parade will join the daytime lineup on December 22, the day after the final Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party event at Magic Kingdom Park.Credit: DisneyMickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade will travel from Frontierland to Main Street, U.S.A., at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. daily, from December 22 to December 31, 2025. The electrical Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away Parade will still perform twice nightly on those days, but the Festival of Fantasy Parade will be on pause until January 1, 2026.If you’re hoping to see Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade during the day at Magic Kingdom Park, get a spot early and prepare for dense crowding. The Magic Kingdom and EPCOT often reach capacity during the week between Christmas and New Year’s, and 2025 is expected to be no different. Is Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade better during the daytime or at night during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party?
