Eagle Force nabs two with 500 grams of alprazolam in Armoor

Two men were arrested with 500 grams of alprazolam by Eagle Force’s Regional Narcotics Control Cell (RNCC) in Nizamabad during an operation in Armoor town.The team kept the area under surveillance for a week following credible information on the circulation of banned alprazolam. Officers closely tracked the movements of suspect Ravutla Rama Goud alias Praneeth Goud, 34, realtor, before intercepting him and another man, Mosampally Ashok Goud, 46, a businessman at a toddy shop in Armoor.Based on their confession, the RNCC recovered 500 grams of alprazolam from the residence of Ravutla Prashant Goud in Mahalakshmi Colony. Prashant Goud, identified as the main accused, fled the scene and remains absconding. Efforts are underway to trace and arrest him.The seized contraband and the two detained men were handed over to the Armoor Town police for further action.The Eagle Force urged citizens to remain alert to the illegal circulation of alprazolam and other drugs, noting their danger to public health and role in fuelling organised crime.
