Harsh Sanghavi, delegation of IPS officers to visit border villages in Kutch

By: Express News ServiceAhmedabad | November 6, 2025 12:34 AM IST 2 min readA team of 30 senior IPS officers, including Additional Directors General (ADGs) and Inspectors General (IGs), led by the Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi, will visit villages situated along the India–Pakistan border in Kutch “to carry out an in-depth review of the border regions and establish direct communication with villagers”, said a government statement on Wednesday.While officials confirmed that delegations of five each officers had reached certain jurisdictions, including Vav-Tharad and Kutch East on Wednesday itself, Sanghavi will head to Bhuj Circuit House on Thursday morning.According to the statement, the Deputy CM will hold meetings with sarpanches and communities in villages along the India – Pakistan border during ‘khatalo sabhas’ (open discussions).The statement said, “The review will focus on essential aspects such as healthcare, education, infrastructure, sanitation, and safety. A special meeting has also been arranged with BSF officials to discuss border security issues like anti-national activities and patrolling operations.
