With just three days until the grand opening of “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!,” Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps are taking over Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park. In celebration of the new Tree of Life show and the upcoming sequel, Zootopia 2 (2025), Walt Disney World Resort has introduced exclusive merchandise and several food and beverage items at its conservation-focused theme park.The original Tree of Life show, It’s Tough To Be A Bug!, closed in March to make way for the Tree of Life’s Zootopia (2016) makeover. Over the last few months, Disney Parks fans have received several sneak peeks of the upcoming 4-D show, which features an advanced Clawhauser audio-animatronic similar to the one in Zootopia: Hot Pursuit at Shanghai Disneyland. Some social media users pointed to the wide availability of previews as a sign that the new attraction would flop. At the same time, a former Walt Disney Imagineer slammed the show for directing “woke” themes at a child audience. He later retracted his statement, commending the Imagineers who worked on the show and saying he simply misses the conservation-focused themes in It’s Tough To Be A Bug!.Nevertheless, Zootopia: Better Zoogether! will debut at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park on Friday, November 7.
