(Express Photo)With the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) by-elections approaching, senior BJP leaders, including Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, on Monday took part in a roadshow to support the party’s candidates for the polls scheduled on November 20.The BJP candidates contesting the councillor elections filed their nominations in the presence of Gupta.“Every BJP worker is dedicated to the cause of public service. This by-election is not merely an electoral process but an opportunity to choose clean, transparent, and development-oriented governance in Delhi,” Gupta said.She attended the nomination programmes of Anita Jain, the party’s candidate from Ward 56 (Shalimar Bagh-B), and Veena Asija, the candidate from Ward 65 (Ashok Vihar), both within her constituency.Before the nominations were filed, the Chief Minister inaugurated the election offices and participated in traditional havan and puja ceremonies in both wards. She also joined a roadshow and addressed a large public gathering.Gupta said the party had nominated hardworking, experienced, and committed women candidates from both wards.
