The Storm Petrel Foundation is hosting a special exhibition dedicated to Joseph Calleia, the Maltese actor whose career spanned over three decades and left an incredible mark on stage and screen.The exhibition offers a unique glimpse into Calleia’s life, talent and enduring Maltese spirit. This ambitious showcase brings together nine Maltese collectors, researchers and enthusiasts, alongside a German/British collector and art dealer as well as members of Calleia’s family. Together, they pay tribute to a man celebrated for both his immense talent and remarkable perseverance.Curated by Justine Balzan Demajo, the exhibition features over 400 items, many of which have never before been displayed publicly. The presentation is both captivating and comprehensive, highlighting Calleia’s multifaceted career. Collaborations with the Rabat and Attard Local Councils have enhanced the exhibition, while Malta International Airport serves as the main sponsor.The exhibition runs from 1st November to 15th December and is open Monday to Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm, with additional hours on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 4 pm to 7 pm. The space will be closed on Sundays and on 22nd November for a private function.Highlights include film screenings every Friday. Advance booking is required for the film screenings through the foundation’s Facebook and Instagram pages.
