Papiss Cisse was always known for having a smile on his face, and he was laughing at himself once more over the weekend. The former Newcastle striker was playing in Sunday League for Wythenshawe Vets against Liverpool South when he had two embarrassing moments in a matter of seconds. A video posted by the Daily Mail’s Nathan Salt from the game showed Cisse missing a penalty with a tame effort.Despite never being a set-piece taker during his professional playing days, he decided to take the corner with hilarious consequences.Cisse simply rolled the ball out of play for a goal kick and then ran back to the halfway line, smiling the whole time. However, it wasn’t as if he had a complete stinker because he showed his Premier League pedigree in the second half. The ex-Senegal international slammed home a double hat-trick, including a sensational chip as his team won 11-0.He left the field to a standing ovation, so the missed penalty and his reaction to it was just a good bit of fun on an otherwise successful afternoon’s work.Cisse is part of an all-star Sunday league outfit in Wythenshawe, who have a number of former Premier League players including ex-Manchester City trio Joleon Lescott, Stephen Ireland and Nedum Onuoha. Also in the Whythenshawe ranks are George Boyd, Oumar Niasses as well as 62-cap ex-England striker Emile Heskey.
