The Nuapada by-election achieved a voter turnout of 83.45%, which was the highest among the eight bypolls held on November 111The counting of votes for the Nuapada Assembly bypoll in Odisha began at 8 a.m. on Friday with postal ballots, followed by EVMs.A three-tier security arrangement was in place, an official said.There will be 26 rounds of vote counting at 14 tables, District Election Officer (DEO)-cum-Nuapada Collector Madhusudan Dash said.The bypoll was necessitated by the demise of BJD MLA Rajendra Dholakia on September 8.
