New England Patriots vs New York Jets odds, predictions, and betting tips – Drake Maye’s MVP Run Continues

Wait 5 sec.

To kick off Week 11 of the NFL season, the New England Patriots are hosting the New York Jets. The Jets are coming off a win over the Cleveland Browns and are 2-7, while the Patriots beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and are now 8-2. Let’s check out Friday’s early morning edition of the NFL in more detail below.New England Patriots vs New York Jets best betsDrake Maye Under 238.5 Passing Yards – 22/25 with BetMGMDrake Maye Under 28.5 Pass Attempts – 19/20 with Paddy PowerMason Taylor 30+ Receiving Yards – 7/10 with SBKThe Patriots have been a massive surprise this season, and at 8-2, are tied for the best record in the NFL. Quarterback Drake Maye is having an MVP-calibre season, completing 71.7% of his passes for 2,555 yards, 19 touchdowns, five interceptions, and 283 rushing yards and two more touchdowns. Meanwhile, this season has been almost exactly the opposite for the Jets. They’ve won back-to-back games, though, beating one of the worst defences over the last couple of decades in the Cincinnati Bengals, and followed that up with a win over the lowly Browns last week. Fun fact, though: Jets quarterback Justin Fields has thrown for 54 yards or fewer in three of his previous four games. Will the Patriots and Maye continue to roll? Will the Jets have the upset of the season? The Jets, however, can’t pass the ball; their best receiver is out, and three of their best defenders to start the season are out or have been traded. Yeah, Patriots -13 is the play. New England Patriots vs New York Jets betting tipsFind the latest odds for New England Patriots vs New York Jets courtesy of BetMGM. The Jets are outright bad. There’s no way around it. Last week, their running game led them to a win, and that won’t happen against the Patriots. Then, if they try to pass, they don’t have Wilson and Fields has been a terrible passer lately. I’m surprised it’s not higher. Drake Maye Under 238.5 Passing YardsThis season, the Jets are allowing 190.8 passing yards per game (eighth-fewest). Additionally, quarterbacks are attempting just 29.78 passes per game, which is the ninth-fewest in the league. This season, only one quarterback has thrown for 239 yards or more, and that was Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in Week 1 in a back-and-forth game that ended 34-32. I don’t expect Maye to need to throw much, so I’ll take the under.  Back Drake Maye to have 238 passing yards or fewer against the Jets at 22/25 odds at BetMGM Drake Maye Under 28.5 Pass AttemptsPiggybacking off the passing yards, I’m taking the under on Maye’s pass attempts, too. While only two quarterbacks have attempted 28 passes or fewer against the Jets, Maye himself has attempted 28 passes or fewer in five of 10 games. The Jets allow 138.2 rushing yards per game, which is the eighth-most this season. The average is up to 154.7 over the last three games. It’s also worth noting that this season, Maye has only attempted nine passes in the fourth quarter, and only 30% of his attempts have been in the second half. So, unless the Jets can somehow be competitive in the first half, he won’t need to throw in the second half.  Bet on Drake Maye to have 28 pass attempts or fewer against the Jets at 19/20 odds at Paddy Power Mason Taylor 30+ Receiving YardsTaylor is second on the Jets in target share at 18.6%. Over the last three weeks, he’s led the team in target share at 24.4%. Those were during games when Wilson was out. He made a brief appearance last week, but reinjured his knee. Fields has been a poor passer, but the Jets will be trailing, and the Patriots allow 65.4 yards per game to tight ends, which is the eighth-most in the NFL. Back Mason Taylor to have 30 or more receiving yards against the Patriots at 7/10 odds at SBK New England Patriots vs New York Jets injury reportBelow are the key injuries to report ahead of this early Wednesday morning contest. New England PatriotsOut: N/AQuestionable: Austin Hooper (tight end) – concussion; Rhamondre Stevenson (running back) – toe; Kayshon Boutte (wide receiver) – hamstring; Terrell Jennings (running back) – knee; Joshua Farmer (defensive tackle) – ankle. Doubtful: N/ANew York JetsOut: N/AQuestionable: Azareye’h Thomas (cornerback) – concussion; Will McDonald IV (edge rusher) – quad; Harrison Phillips (defensive tackle) – foot; Kiko Mauigoa (linebacker) – concussion. Doubtful: Garrett Wilson (wide receiver) – knee New England Patriots vs New York Jets game infoDate: Friday, 14th NovemberTime: 1:15 a.m. GMTVenue: Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, MassachusettsWhere to watch: Sky Sports NFL, Sky Sports Main EventAbout the authorRichard JanvrinRichard Janvrin brings nearly a decade of experience covering sports, sports betting, and everything iGaming.
