The whole point of these groups is for people doing it tough to feel comfortable asking if anyone has any spare....whatever the item may be. Xmas decorations are something most people have excess of, likely taking up space, and rather than throw them away, a little kindness and effort to get them to someone not as fortunate as ourselves seems like the right thing to do. Nobody wants to be taken advantage of, nor should they, but bothering to post about a poor mother trying to decorate her tree with donated items really is mean spirited. Remember how fortunate we are, give generously to those that need, and if it's on one of those freebie pages so be it. Who are we to judge others situations or circumstances?
