He asserted that Optimus could democratise elite medical treatment systems in ways traditional systems never could. It needs to be noted that no medical version of Optimus exists yet.According to Musk, the world has always struggled with offering high-quality healthcare for all, not because of money, but because of scarcity. “People often talk about eliminating poverty and providing great medical care, but they never actually have a solution,” he said. Musk believes that even wealthy nations face a bottleneck. “There are only so many highly skilled surgeons and specialists, and they don’t grow on trees.”He claimed that Optimus could close this gap. He foresees a future where millions of identical high-precision medical robots are manufactured in factories and deployed globally. Elon Musk on how Optimus will provide access to the best medical care for anyone in the world:“Imagine a world where everyone has access to the best surgeons, literally everyone. And Optimus will have the level of precision that is frankly superhuman and will be able to do… pic.twitter.com/nawibXgSQ2— Nic Cruz Patane (@niccruzpatane) November 14, 2025These humanoid robots, he said, would perform procedures with accuracy beyond human capabilities. “Optimus will have the level of precision that is frankly superhuman,” he noted, adding that the robot would be capable of “very sophisticated medical procedures, any medical procedure, perhaps things that humans can’t even do because they’re too difficult.”In Musk’s view, the biggest limitation in today’s healthcare systems is not funding or infrastructure but the fact that human expertise is finite. Even the best medical professionals have physical constraints, cognitive limits, and long training cycles. Musk says this shift could turn previously unimaginable levels of medical access into a reality. While Optimus is still in its early stages and far from performing complex surgery, Musk maintains that the technology is on a path that will eventually make this vision possible.© IE Online Media Services Pvt LtdTags:Elon Musk
