Twelve German travel trade partners have wrapped up a ten-day familiarization trip across Uganda that left them captivated by the country’s breathtaking scenery, rich culture, and warm hospitality.Organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Uganda in Berlin in partnership with the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), the tour—dubbed “Experience Uganda, the Pearl of Africa”—was designed to give the visitors a first-hand taste of Uganda’s tourism treasures and investment opportunities.Led by Uganda’s Ambassador to Germany, H.E. Stephen Mubiru, the group explored iconic destinations such as Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary, known for its baby rhino naming campaign that celebrates conservation success, and Ewaffe Cultural Village in Buganda, a vibrant women-led enterprise preserving traditional heritage.Ambassador Mubiru said the trip was part of Uganda’s Economic and Commercial Diplomacy Strategy to boost German arrivals, exports, and investment.“Germany remains one of Uganda’s top source markets.
