A woman has put a church in Kalamazoo on blast on TikTok after an altercation between her and a couple of churchgoers took place. The two Karens were supposedly giving the woman behind the camera grief over her sleeping in her car in the church car park. The clip was posted to the app by a woman named Mandy who, in her own words, has been homeless for 18 months. In the video we see a stern-faced woman who is also recording, pointing her phone directly at Mandy. Meanwhile, Mandy can be heard trying to appeal to this woman’s humanity as she tries to explain her situation. “I just wanna park my car and sleep, I’m not bothering anybody by being here, I don’t cause any trouble, all I do is park my car here and sleep.” It seems Mandy is in a less than ideal situation, however, it seems these so-called Christians don’t care for her situation one bit. @bischyounasty Second Reformed Church 2323 Stadium Dr, Kalamazoo, MI 49008. ♬ original sound – BischYouNasty Doesn’t the Bible teach to love thy neighbor? At the very least I’m pretty sure you’re not supposed to make their lives harder. That’s not very Christian-like The two churchgoers in the video don’t really seem to be embodying the Christian values they preach. Let’s not forget Jesus’ mother, Mary, was in a very similar situation when she arrived in Bethlehem. But let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and assume the church may not be in a position to help Mandy, they could at least show kindness to her when she’s clearly at a low point in her life. The decision by one of the women to pull her phone and record seems unnecessarily cruel, like a mean girl in high school, humiliating and mocking someone less fortunate. Thankfully, the people on TikTok were quick to do their thing, finding out the phone number for the church so people could vocalize their complaints. Others offered the support Mandy was so cruelly denied and some suggested she park her car outside any local drag bars as they claimed it was almost a certainty that Mandy would “be permitted to park your car there, and you’ll meet the most helpful and positive people.” The video was also reposted by a bigger page where it has accumulated over 4 million views. This has led to even more outrage towards the church and more support for Mandy. While angry viewers left bad reviews for the church on Google, others offered more places of sanctuary for Mandy, many viewers suggested she come to their mosque, while other Christians denounced the appalling behavior of the women in the video.
