Patel spoke at the inauguration ceremony of the lecture series organised by Bharatiya Vichar Manch in Ahmedabad on the occasion of RSS’s centenary.CM Patel said RSS has presented the Panch Prana (five pledges) with its creative approach that provides solutions to global challenges. “Let us realise the Panch Prana given by the Sangh and be committed to a developed India,” the CM stated in his inaugural address.“The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh has been moving forward on its path of duty for 100 years continuously with the motto of ‘Nation First’. Even after a hundred years, the ideas of this organisation have not changed, but have become more profound and comprehensive. It is said about the Sangh that under its guidance, ordinary people are doing extraordinary and wonderful work. The Sangh has always laid emphasis on personality development and has prepared youth dedicated to national service,” he added.CM Patel said under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many programmes have highlighted the spirit of ‘Nation First’ – including 150 years of Vande Mataram, 150th birth anniversary of Bhagwan Birsa Munda, 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, 100th birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, 75 years of the Constitution. Now the centenary of the Sangh has also been added to it, he added.On this occasion, an exhibition depicting the 100-year journey of the RSS that showcases documents, photographs and the thoughts of leaders has been organised. A multimedia show has also been prepared.On the first day of the lecture series, the Sahasarkaryavah of the Sangh, Shri Dr Krishna Gopal, gave a lecture on the topic ‘Yugadrishta Dr Hedgewar: Journey from Seed to Banyan Tree’, describing Dr. Hedgewar as a prominent national leader and organiser in modern Indian history.
