People across 122 constituencies in 20 districts, including key seats in Gaya, Nawada, Jamui, Bhagalpur and Purnia, are voting today to elect their representatives to the 243-seat Bihar Assembly. The first phase of the elections saw a record turnout of 64.66 per cent across 121 seats that went for polling on November 6.Who are the parties contesting? Now, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, supported by the Congress, is fighting to break the RJD’s electoral jinx. Tejashwi Yadav’s RJD emerged as the single largest party with 75 seats, while the BJP followed closely with 74.
