The GUJCET 2026 exam will be held on March 29, 2026, at district-level centres across Gujarat in a single shift from 10 am to 4 pm. This state-level entrance test is conducted for admissions to degree programs in engineering, pharmacy, and diploma pharmacy programs offered by colleges in Gujarat.The board stated that detailed information regarding the GUJCET 2026 application form and the information booklet will be made available later on the official website, gseb.org. Candidates will be able to fill out the application form online according to the schedule released by the board. For more updates on GSEB GUJCET notification, application and more, students can check at education.indianexpess.comAccording to the Government of Gujarat, Education Department’s Resolution No. PARC-102012-S dated November 19, 2016, the GUJCET examination became compulsory from 2017 onwards for admission to degree engineering, degree pharmacy, and diploma pharmacy courses after Class 12 (10+2 pattern) in the Science stream.The GUJCET 2026 exam will be based on the National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) syllabus for Class 12 Science subjects, specifically Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and Mathematics. The syllabus adheres to the academic framework implemented by the Gujarat Board from June 2019, following the Education Department’s resolution dated October 25, 2017.The exam will consist of multiple-choice questions:–Physics and Chemistry will be combined in one paper, featuring 80 questions (40 from each subject) for a total of 80 marks, to be completed in 120 minutes.–Separate papers will be held for Biology and Mathematics, each with 40 questions for 40 marks and a duration of 60 minutes per paper.–Candidates will use separate OMR sheets for each paper.–The GUJCET 2026 question papers will be available in Gujarati, English, and Hindi, ensuring accessibility for students across different linguistic backgrounds.Story continues below this adLast year, a total of 1,37,799 candidates registered for GUJCET, including 75,558 boys and 62,241 girls.
