Mumbai has reinforced its position as India’s top data centre hub, accounting for 53% of the country’s total operational capacity of about 1,530 MW as of September 2025, according to CBRE South Asia. The city’s dominance stems from its role as a landing point for global submarine cables and its proximity to major internet exchange points.
