(Express photo)The Vadodara forest department on Friday rescued a 10-feet long crocodile from Varnama village, after several hours of effort as the crocodile roared and attempted to break free from the noose.Following the recent unseasonal rains witnessed in the region, several incidents of crocodiles being spotted in residential areas have been reported. On Friday, a 10-feet long crocodile was spotted in Varnama village in Vadodara, causing panic in the area. As the villagers called the forest department a team of rescuers was rushed to the spot.While the volunteers attempted to tighten their grip on the crocodile which weighed at least 200 kilos, the reptile resisted and roared, causing onlookers to run for cover.Story continues below this adA team of forest department rescuers – Nitin Patel, Lalu Nizama, Sanjay Rajput and Subhash – however, managed to overpower the crocodile by leading it to the cage with the help of the noose tightened around his mouth and body.The crocodile was rescued and taken to the forest department for observation.
