‘This is ridiculous’ – Fans can’t believe blatant missed false starts on both the Eagles and Packers

Wait 5 sec.

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain. The Green Bay Packers led the charge last offseason to ban the tush push and remove it from the NFL. Months later, they’re running it themselves to their own advantage. However, that’s not what’s got everyone up in arms during Monday Night Football between the Packers and the tush push creators, the Philadelphia Eagles. Both teams ran the tush push in the first quarter, with each committing obvious false starts on the play. Yet the officials missed both, and both teams were successful in converting.ESPN’s Joe Buck and Troy Aikman couldn’t believe they missed the eager offensive linemen jumping early for both teams.“You can see the early movement,” Aikman pointed out. “I thought they were offsides at the snap in real time, and this is what becomes a debate across the league—how it’s being officiated and handled.”“Landon Dickerson the left guard left way early but it was not picked up by the officiating crew,” Buck said.“This is ridiculous. NFL crews can’t officiate the Tush Push accurately. Either get better refs or get rid of the play,” The Athletic’s David Aldridge posted on X.“The refs just missed a blatant false start on the Eagles before the tush push. Embarrassing,” Jordan Schultz commented.“We’re at the point where Joe Buck is just outright calling out how early the eagles are jumping on the tush push on national television,” one fan chimed in.As the first quarter was winding down, the Packers ran the tush push again, and the officials correctly flagged left guard Aaron Banks for a false start.More to come…Stay up to date with the latest from the NFL across all platforms – follow our dedicated talkSPORT USA Facebook page and subscribe to our talkSPORT USA YouTube channel for all the news, exclusives, interviews and more
