He claimed that on Wednesday and Thursday, Irshad – who lives on the floor above them – had confined both of them in his room and assaulted them with fists and a belt,” DCP (Northwest) Bhisham Singh said.Tamanney and Virender managed to escape and reached Nizam’s place on Friday. Police said that Tamanney complained of extreme pain and initially took painkillers prescribed by a local clinic.“However, his condition worsened at night and he was taken to Dr Riyaz Clinic around 10 pm, where the doctor advised an ultrasound of the abdomen. On Saturday, the ultrasound revealed the presence of a large amount of blood in the abdominal region. Following this, Tamanney, along with Nazim and others, came to Subhash Place police station on Sunday,” said the DCP.Police said that as Tammaney started narrating his version of the events, he started to feel dizzy, and eventually fainted. He was rushed to Bhagwan Mahavir hospital, where he was declared dead.Story continues below this adBased on Tamanney’s statement, a case of murder was registered and Irshad was traced to Rohini.
