Meanwhile, police have demanded that the firm suspend its activities and again seek clearance from authorities.A 23-year-old man was critically injured after he fell off the rope while bungee jumping in Rishikesh.The incident took place around 4 pm on Wednesday, when Sonu, who is from Gurgaon, fell from a height of around 35 metres while bungee jumping at Shivpuri Thrill Factory, an adventure sports park.He sustained injuries to his chest and was admitted to AIIMS Rishikesh. Police said he has responded to treatment and is out of danger.Story continues below this adSince no complaint has been lodged by the family, police said they are yet to file an FIR. Officers of Muni Ki Reti police station in Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal said they have called in a technical team to investigate the reason for the fall.“We are finding out if it was caused due to the negligence of the operator or the machine. We will check if the firm is complying with all norms,” an officer said.A video that has gone viral shows the man writhing in pain on a tin sheet as the rope remains suspended in the air.The Shivpuri Thrill Factory offers several adventure sports, including rope cycling, suspended catch air device (SCAD) jump, and reverse bungee jumping.
