Philadelphia Eagles vs Detroit Lions odds, predictions, and betting tips – can Dan Campbell mastermind an away win?

Wait 5 sec.

To close out the Sunday slate of Week 11, the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles will host the 6-3 Detroit Lions on Sunday Night Football. The Lions are coming off a 22-point win on the road against the Washington Commanders, while the Eagles went into Lambeau Field last week on Monday Night Football and came away with a 10-7 win. Let’s check out Monday’s early morning edition of the NFL in more detail below. Eagles vs Lions best betsJalen Hurts under 1.5 passing TDs – Evens with Sky BetDeVonta Smith 4+ receptions – 4/11 with BetVictorJared Goff under 0.5 INTs – 13/20 with BetMGMComing off a bye week, the Eagles, in Week 10, took down the Packers in a lower-scoring game than anyone expected. This was the debut of their new pass rusher, Jaelan Phillips, who they acquired for a third-round draft pick from the Miami Dolphins before the Tuesday, 4th November, trade deadline. The thing to watch in this matchup is their running game. It’s been performing a lot better recently, averaging 144 rushing yards per game over their last three. As for the Lions, they made a noticeable change in Week 10, and that was head coach Dan Campbell taking over the playcalling duties. Well, if Week 10 was any indication of what’s to come, the Lions will surely be fine. In addition to 44 points, running back Jahmyr Gibbs ran 15 times for 142 yards and two touchdowns and added three catches for 30 yards and another score. The thing to watch for on the Lions’ side is injuries. On Thursday, 13th November, tight end Sam LaPorta didn’t practice, and cornerback Amik Robertson is now listed as questionable. Will the Eagles take down the Lions at home? Will the Lions, under the playcalling of Campbell, continue to dominate? Sure, the Eagles have a new pass rusher, but the Lions have a great offensive line. They’ve allowed the fourth-fewest pressures this season. Not only that, but over their last three games, they’ve allowed just 265.7 yards per game, which is fourth-fewest in that span. Not only that, but the Eagles primarily play Cover-1 and Cover-3, and against those coverages, Lions quarterback Jared Goff has completed 71.4% of his passes for 13 touchdowns and zero interceptions. Take the points with the Lions on the road. Eagles vs Lions betting tipsFind the latest odds for Philadelphia Eagles vs Detroit Lions courtesy of BetMGM. Odds are subject to change.SpreadOddsPhiladelphia Eagles -2.522/25Detroit Lions +2.523/25Total pointsOddsOver 4723/25Under 4722/25When the spread is this narrow, it typically accounts for home field advantage, which, in this case, the Eagles have. For two teams this close in record and strength, it makes sense, though I prefer the Lions side when wagering.Jalen Hurts under 1.5 passing TDsWhile the Lions run a mix of coverages, they’ve run Cover-1 (110 opposing quarterback dropsbacks) and Cover-3 (87) more than anything else. When facing those coverages this season, Hurts has completed 66.1% of his passes for 875 yards and just four touchdown passes. Additionally, he’s had one passing touchdown or fewer in four of nine games this season. A significant factor contributing to his low touchdown pass count is that the Eagles call a run play 48.65% of the time, which is the third-highest rate in the league. While the Lions allow two passing touchdowns per game, the Eagles want to run the ball, and Hurts hasn’t exactly lit up the stat sheet in the touchdown department against coverages the Lions mainly run.  Tip Jalen Hurts to have less than two passing touchdowns against the Lions at Evens with Sky Bet DeVonta Smith 4+ receptionsOver their last three games, Smith has posted a 40.9% target share for the Eagles. He’s run a route on every dropback by quarterback Jalen Hurts. The next closest player is tight end Dallas Goedert, at 18.2%, followed by fellow wide receiver A.J. Brown and running back Saquon Barkley, both at 13.6%. This game is also coming after Brown, on a livestream with Janky Rondo, said that fantasy managers who have Brown should drop him, and he didn’t exactly sound happy with his current situation. Look for Smith to continue being heavily targeted in the passing game. He’s had four catches or more in seven of nine games this season.  Bet on DeVonta Smith to have 4 receptions or more against the Lions at 4/11 with BetVictor Jared Goff under 0.5 INTsAs mentioned above, Goff hasn’t thrown a single interception against Cover-1 or Cover-3, the two coverages the Eagles primarily play. Goff has thrown just three interceptions all season and hasn’t since 20th October. Not only that, but the Eagles are averaging just 0.56 interceptions per game, and the defence has intercepted two passes over the last five games.  Back Jared Goff to have zero interceptions against the Eagles at 13/20 with BetMGM Eagles vs Lions injury reportBelow are the key injuries to report ahead of this early Monday morning contest:Philadelphia EaglesOut: Azeez Ojulari (edge rusher) – undisclosed; Marcus Epps (safety) – undisclosedQuestionable: Tyler Steen (guard) – oblique; Cam Jurgens (centre) – knee; Landon Dickerson (guard) – quad; Lane Johnson (offensive tackle) – ankle Doubtful: N/ADetroit LionsOut: Malcolm Rodriguez (linebacker) – knee; Marcus Davenport (edge rusher) – pectoral; D.J.
