If alliance partners are not adhering to coalition norms, why should the BJP? We will do what is best for our organisational growth.”The election process for the municipal councils and nagar panchayats, scheduled on December 2, has begun. The dates for elections to zilla parishads and municipal corporations are yet to be announced.The elections to the prestigious Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) are likely in mid-January. The BJP has reportedly urged its cadre to double their efforts to dislodge the three-decade-old rule of Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT).
