It’s been a tragic few weeks at Walt Disney World Resort. After a string of deaths at several Central Florida Disney Resort hotels, law enforcement responded to reports of a “suspicious hazard” in the EPCOT Resort area on Monday, November 10.Deaths at Disney WorldSince October 14, five guests have died at Walt Disney World Resort hotels. The first was Summer Equitz, a 31-year-old “Disney superfan” from Illinois who tragically died by suicide at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Days later, another guest died of natural causes at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campgrounds. On October 22, another 28-year-old guest died by suicide near Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Six days later, a woman died at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort.
