Ha, exactly. Why didn't they just shovel the extra out, reform the edge, cut the reo, get the levels right and wonder at the now perfect job? Just the fact there will be reo running through the slab is something people don't think about before "giving advice". I think I'm this case, there's a chance they're offering $500 to remove it, not asking for $500. Surely no one actually thinks someone wants the hardened slab bits...
