Another 2026 Galaxy A smartphone is in development

Samsung’s 2026 Galaxy A lineup is beginning to take shape, and it turns out the company isn’t changing much about its mid-range strategy. Alongside the expected Galaxy A37 and Galaxy A57, Samsung is also preparing a new Galaxy A27 for next year. This addition doesn’t come as a surprise. Since 2020, Samsung’s A-series lineup has been remarkably consistent. Each year brings a new wave of A1x devices, followed by refreshed A2x, A3x, and A5x models. The pattern will continue in 2026, with the A17 already released and the A27, A37, and A57 now in development. The Galaxy A27, featuring the model number SM-A276x (where “x” will be replaced by various letters depending on which market the phone is headed to), is expected to land somewhere between the budget-friendly A17 and the more premium A37/A57 models. Information on the specs is non-existent at this time, though we can expect some features, like a 5,000 mAh battery with 25W charging and a 50MP primary camera, to carry over from the A26.We can also expect the Galaxy A27 to receive six major Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates, matching the long-term software commitment Samsung has started offering across much of the Galaxy A series this year.Samsung typically launches its mid-range trio in the first quarter of the year, and if the company sticks to its regular schedule, the Galaxy A27 should debut around March 2026 alongside the A37 and A57. However, if you’re in the market for a new phone right now, it’s worth checking out Samsung’s Black Friday offers on current Galaxy A models such as the A56. With the right discount, you might be able to pick up a device with far better specs for only a little more than what the Galaxy A27 might cost when it launches next year. The post Another 2026 Galaxy A smartphone is in development appeared first on SamMobile.
