The Galaxy S25 Edge’s camera housing is sagging and I can’t unsee it

Wait 5 sec.

Not long ago, I wrote a Galaxy S25 Edge story in which I shared my thoughts on why being boring was a bigger sin for Samsung's ultra-thin phone than its relatively small battery. My opinion hasn't improved since. Worse yet, nowadays, I'm also convinced that the Galaxy S25 Edge might have one of the ugliest camera housing designs. But why this new opinion, all of a sudden?I must admit, this wasn't my original view, but something changed my mind. Funnily enough, I came across a random Reddit comment some time ago that awkwardly changed my perspective in an unexpected way.I'm afraid I can no longer remember the source and the original poster, but whoever it was, their comment forever made me see the Galaxy S25 Edge through different eyes. The Galaxy S25 Edge and the droopy eye bag designThere's no beating around the bush. The redditor described the Galaxy S25 Edge's camera housing as something akin to a droopy eye bag. Worse yet, I now imagine that the LED flash could very well be a blemish on that tired old eye bag.It sounds weird, but I can't get that image out of my head. There's no going around it. Ever since I read that comment, my view on the Galaxy S25 Edge's camera housing design shifted, and now I can't get that analogy out of my head.I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but what I'm seeing is the eye bag of the beholder. And the more I look at it, the more difficult it is to ignore.Jokes aside, the Galaxy S25 Edge isn't necessarily an objectively ugly phone. I do find it too dull for a phone that relies on one gimmick. And unfortunately, that droopy eye bag analogy has now sealed the deal for me. I can only hope that, if Samsung has any plans for a Galaxy S26 Edge model next year, it will look a lot better and different. Especially now that the iPhone Air is out.And if Samsung won't release another Edge next year, I hope it won't reuse this camera housing design for any other models. Samsung would be way better off drawing inspiration from even mid-range devices like the Galaxy M56 or A56.If you don't see anything off with the Galaxy S25 Edge's design and wouldn't mind owning the ultra-thin phone, more power to you.
