‘Slow-moving vehicle stopped at red light’: Delhi Police Commissioner gives first update after Red Fort blast

Two to three people were seated inside the car, he told mediapersons.“The explosion affected surrounding vehicles. As soon as we were informed, we notified all agencies concerned — Delhi Police, FSL, NIA and NSG. Their teams have arrived and are monitoring the situation. The blast reportedly took place outside the Lal Quila (Red Fort) metro station in a car on Monday evening. The exact cause of the blast is yet to be ascertained.A team of Delhi Police Special Cell Officers has arrived at the site and the area has been cordoned off.
