(Express Photo)Following the blast at Delhi’s Red Fort on Monday evening, which killed at least eight people and left several others injured, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath directed that the police force be placed on high alert, intensive checking be initiated, and security arrangements across the state be strengthened.He obtained details of the incident from Director General of Police Rajeev Krishna, said officials.DGP Krishna told The Indian Express that he has issued the following instructions to all district police officers:-All senior police officers must remain present on the field and personally visit, inspect, and patrol sensitive and crowded areas, markets, public gatherings, and religious places.-The security arrangement of important establishments, religious sites, crowded places, and other sensitive points must be reviewed again. Security level should be immediately enhanced, according to the threat assessment.-Stringent vigilance should be maintained during vehicle checks and at metro/bus stations, railway stations, malls, cinema halls, and other public transport hubs or crowded centres without causing inconvenience to the general public.-The ATS, QRT (Quick Response Teams), Bomb Disposal Squads, and Dog Squads should be kept ready, and foot patrolling and area domination must be increased.Story continues below this ad-CCTV feeds should be analysed in real time, and local intelligence networks and community information systems should be activated to ensure prompt reporting of suspicious persons or activities.-Intensive checking of unattended objects and suspicious individuals should be carried out in crowded areas.-UP 112 PRVs (Police Response Vehicles) must continuously patrol sensitive locations.-Continuous monitoring of social media should be ensured, with every input taken seriously, and strict legal action should be taken against those spreading rumours.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Amit Shah
