Disorderly and domestic-related murders lead this type of crime, Blanhum said.Additionally, he revealed that robberies also fell sharply over the decade, with 270 reported cases in 2025, down from a peak of 1,237.Firearm-related robberies were most common between 6 PM and midnight, with pistols being the most frequently seized weapons.Cybercrime reports rose to 241, resulting in 50 charges and 12 convictions. Law enforcement also seized 233 kilograms of cocaine and 100 firearms originating from the U.S., Brazil, Austria, Italy, and other countries.According to Blanhum, the Police Force remains committed to the highest standards of policing. He said these trends reflect the force’s sustained efforts to maintain public safety, particularly during high-traffic periods like the approaching Christmas season. The post Crime drops to lowest level in ten years- Blanhum appeared first on News Room Guyana.
