The three-day Globalising Indian Thought (GIT) Conclave 2025 concluded at the Indian Institute of Management- Kozhikode (IIMK) on Friday.The conclave that offered powerful reflections on healthcare, gender equity, and India’s evolving global influence was inaugurated by Anil D. Sahasrabuddhe, chairperson of the National Educational Technology Forum, along with Vikas Swarup, writer and former diplomat.As many as 124 research submissions across academic papers, practice cases, concept notes, and posters were presented at the conclave on the theme of ‘3 Ws’ (Work, Women, and Worldview).The three-day conclave featured eminent global voices and thought leaders, including Shishir Priyadarshi, president, Chintan Research Foundation, and Lalatiana Accouche, Seychelles High Commissioner to India, among others. The special highlights include a photo exhibition by artist Lalit Verma showcasing the cultural vibrancy of the Purna Mahakumbh Mela as well as expert panels exploring sustainability, work-place equality, and representation in public life.The Best Paper Award was jointly presented to Priyankari for ‘Renewing temple-centric performing art traditions of Bhārat: sound, rhythm and geometry for contemporary well-being’ and to Vineetha Mathew for ‘Towards a conceptualisation of financial well-being for Indian women: the need for a new scale’.The conclave concluded with a Bharatanatyam performance by Meenakshi Srinivasan.Published - November 14, 2025 09:56 pm IST
