While Kushalpal was arrested from Panchgaon on Thursday, the woman was held from Manesar on Friday. The police said Kushalpal allegedly killed his colleague Sonpal, a native of Mathura who lived at a rented accommodation in Gurgaon’s Khoh, over a grudge related to his repeated demands to be introduced to the woman.Sonpal, who had been working in Sector-5 for the past 10 years, went missing on October 4 after leaving his company around 4.30 pm to head home to Mathura. On October 7, his brother-in-law filed a missing person complaint at the Sector-7 IMT Manesar police station.Based on Kushalpal’s disclosure, Sonpal’s body was recovered from the Kosi border in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday and the case was converted to that of murder.A spokesperson for the police said, “A team led by Inspector Satyawan, in-charge of Sector-7 IMT Manesar police station, and Sub-Inspector Subhash gathered information from various sources, leading to the identification and arrest of the accused.”“During interrogation, the accused revealed that they had been in a live-in relationship for two years in Sector-1, Manesar. Sonpal and Kushalpal worked in the same company, where the victim was (Kushalpal’s) senior. Sonpal was aware of their relationship and repeatedly asked Kushalpal to introduce him as a friend to (the woman), which led to resentment,” the spokesperson added.Story continues below this adOfficers said the couple subsequently planned the murder. “On October 4, Kushalpal took Sonpal on a motorcycle stolen in July 2025 from Panchgaon, promising a trip to Mathura.
