Congress celebrates Naveen Yadav’s lead in Jubilee Hills byelection; Ponnam calls for celebrations across Telangana

As the Congress candidate for Jubilee Hills byelection, Naveen Yadav V, continues to gain lead in the ongoing counting, the party cadre and leaders began celebrations by bursting crackers and distributing sweets. At the end of the round 6, Mr. Yadav was leading by 15,797 votes. The counting will be held in a maximum of 10 rounds.The cadre lit fire works at Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally, and in Yousufguda too. Hyderabad in-charge Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Labour Minister Vivek Venkataswamy and others exchanged sweets. As the results started to emerge, Mr. Prabhakar said that people in the constituency opted for development and people’s governance. He said that people have supported the party’s welfare schemes including 200 units free power, interest free loans for women, Indiramma Houses, fine rice distribution, ration cards and other initiatives.He said that BJP and BRS tried to tarnish the Government’s image despite it implementing several welfare schemes. To contest this, Mr. Prabhakar urged Congress cadre to hold the celebrations in all villages. There are a total of 4,01,354 voters including 2,08,561 male, 1,92,779 female and 25 other voters. The polling was held on Tuesday (November 11, 2025). The voter turnout was 1,94,631, which is 48.49%.The byelection was necessitated after the death of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) MLA Maganti Gopinath on June 8, 2025.
