Sir Kenny Dalglish has admitted he was “terrified” ahead of his Anfield debut after signing for Liverpool in 1977.The legendary Scot was signed by the Reds to replace Kevin Keegan just months after they had won the European Cup in Rome.He made his debut at Wembley against Man United in the Community Shield and scored his first goal for the club in a first division clash at Middlesbrough a week later.However, that didn’t ease Dalglish’s nerves ahead of his first Anfield outing when Liverpool played Newcastle in the first division a couple of days later.In fact, in the new Amazon Prime Video feature film detailing his life, Dalglish has revealed how nervous he was ahead of walking out at Anfield for the first time.
