Malta’s trip to Finland could result in another heavy defeat. Croatia have scored 20 goals in their six World Cup qualifiers and they are fancied to get on the scoresheet again when the Faroe Islands head for Rijeka. However, the visitors are no pushover and the Faroes impressed in last month’s 2-1 win over the Czech Republic and 4-0 success against Montenegro. Play over 2.5 goals to complete a 17/5 treble. Longshot of the Day – Northern Ireland to win 1-0 v Slovakia @ 15/2 Northern Ireland were under maximum pressure to get a result against Slovakia in Belfast last month and Michael O’Neill’s men duly delivered a 2-0 victory. The Green and White Army were beaten 1-0 by Germany last time out, but that was only a narrow defeat against a top-level team and O’Neill’s well-drilled side allowed Die Nationalelf only two shots on target in that contest. Slovakia have scored just five goals in their four 2026 World Cup qualifiers, and while Francesco Calzona’s men sit in the playoff spot, they managed only seven shots when losing 2-0 in Belfast.
