An announcement Samsung meant to send out tomorrow was inadvertently posted on the company's official US newsroom website today, confirming the global launch details for its latest large-screen Odyssey G7 gaming monitors.Samsung was going to make this announcement at Gamescom 2025, the largest gaming event in the world, which kicks off tomorrow. The post was up for a little while before it was taken off the website. New Odyssey G7 monitors will be out in more markets soonThis isn't exactly a “new” gaming monitor, as Samsung showed off the new Odyssey G7 (G75F) earlier this year. The monitor is available in 37-inch 4K UHD 16:9 aspect ratio size as well as its first 40-inch Wide UHD 5,120 x 2,160 pixel resolution with 21:9 aspect ratio. This is a particularly compelling option for serious gamers, as gaming monitors are typically available in 32-inch and 43-inch sizes with 4K resolution. The largest G75F also has some cool features like Picture-by-Picture and Picture-in-Picture mode, enabling gamers to multi-task in split-screen. The new monitors also feature VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification and can reach 350 nits of brightness which provides great contrast and color reproduction for both gaming and video content.Other features include AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and HDR10+ Gaming support and Auto Source Switch+ for automatic input detection. They have two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4. Samsung has already been selling the new Odyssey G7 models in South Korea and the United States. The deleted post mentions Europe availability starting next month. The monitors should ostensibly be out in other markets over the coming months. The post Samsung accidentally confirms global launch details for Odyssey G7 gaming monitors appeared first on SamMobile.
