IIT-Bombay rolls out certificate course on Generative AI for business for women

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay on Monday announced that its Desai Sethi School of Entrepreneurship (DSSE) has launched a beginner-level course exclusively designed to empower women professionals, entrepreneurs, and managers with practical skills in generative AI.The special edition of “GenAI for Business: A Hands-On Introduction” will be conducted online from September 11 to 13. The trend emerged from the institute’s ‘Senior Survey 2025’, conducted by Insight, its official student media body. The report, released recently, is based on responses from 282 students.Of the 272 who answered how they usually learned new skills, 118 cited online platforms, 65 mentioned ChatGPT, while just 9 relied on library books—the traditional route in universities.Story continues below this adYet, the survey shows AI tools remain underused in some areas.
